DriftHangout — Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DriftHangout ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. You must be at least 18 years old to participate in events. Users aged 16–17 may create spectator-only accounts with verifiable parental consent.

2. What DriftHangout Is

DriftHangout is an information and coordination platform that connects event organizers with participants. We are not an event organizer, venue operator, or motorsport sanctioning body. Events listed on the Platform are organized by independent third parties ("Organizers") who are solely responsible for their events.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. One account per person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Roles

• Rider — browse events, register, attend, rate organizers, upload photos
• Organizer — create events, manage registrations, receive payouts (requires separate Organizer Agreement)
• Photographer — sell photo packs (requires verification)
• Admin — platform staff only

5. Platform Rules

You agree not to: post false or misleading event information; manipulate ratings or reviews; impersonate others; harass or threaten users; scrape the Platform without written permission; or use the Platform for any illegal purpose.

6. Event Participation

All event participation is at your own risk. We do not guarantee the safety, quality, or legality of events listed. Participants must sign the Event Participation Waiver before attending and must meet all event-specific rules set by the Organizer. You are responsible for your vehicle's roadworthiness and documentation.

7. Payments and Fees

Payments are processed by third-party providers (JazzCash, EasyPaisa, Stripe). During the free-event launch period no platform fees apply. Once paid events are enabled, DriftHangout charges a service fee (8% on Free tier; reduced for Pro/Crew organizer subscribers). All fees are disclosed before payment. Payments are held in escrow until event completion. We are not responsible for payment-gateway failures or bank disputes.

8. Intellectual Property

DriftHangout owns all Platform IP. Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on the Platform and for marketing. Do not use our name, logo, or branding without written permission.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. DRIFTHANGOUT IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR FINANCIAL LOSS ARISING FROM EVENTS LISTED ON THE PLATFORM OR FROM ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF ORGANIZERS, PARTICIPANTS, OR THIRD PARTIES. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DriftHangout, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your event participation.

11. Dispute Resolution

Disputes shall first be attempted through informal negotiation (30 days). If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to arbitration under the Arbitration Act 1940 of Pakistan, seated in Karachi. Class-action disputes are waived — disputes must be resolved individually.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Courts of Karachi, Sindh have exclusive jurisdiction for any matters not subject to arbitration.

13. Modifications

We may modify these Terms. Material changes are notified at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Electronic Transactions

Per the Electronic Transactions Ordinance 2002, Section 3, electronic records and signatures have the same legal effect as physical documents. Your acceptance via checkbox constitutes a valid electronic agreement.
